- Call Me Amour ft Set It Off, Point North, and TSS at 02 Institute Birmingham 25-02-2025
Tonight at the O2 Institute in Birmingham is Call Me Amour , who is supporting Set It Off on their UK tour alongside ft. Point North and TSS . We were invited down to check out Call Me Amour, who has recently released their second self-entitled EP, Call Me Amour. Call Me Amour ft Set It Off Point North and TSS Tss Hailing from France, Tss (formally known as The Sunday Sadness), the electrifying modern metal band, took to the stage with a fierce presence. The dark, Gothic stage setup created stunning silhouettes, adding to the atmospheric experience. Tss delivered powerful performances of tracks like "Would You Be My Therapy?", "Dead!" and "Killing Me," all while energetically bouncing around the stage. Fans reciprocated by singing along to every word, swaying in unison. Their short but impactful set served as a perfect teaser for the rest of the evening. Call Me Amour Call Me Amour takes to the stage. The 4 Piece had just released their brand new EP a few days before this night, and getting to experience it live again was truly amazing. Having seen them a handful of times, they always impress me. The teaser of the own headline tour towards the back end of this. By the time song two starts, Harry has climbed into the crowd, creating this beautiful moment between the fans and band, connecting everyone as one to have a massive party. Seeing them have fun and perform for new and old fans is such a moment to experience! I can’t wait to see what they go on to do next! Their newest self-titled EP is out now; check it out here. Check out my Call Me Amour EP release over on Call Me Amour EP Review | Albums | Metal Junkbox Point North I’ve been eagerly anticipating Point North’s performance, the three-piece from Los Angeles, California, and they certainly didn’t disappoint. Point North kept the energy high, constantly moving across the stage and engaging the crowd. The audience sang along passionately, especially during fan favorites like “Win Win,” “Fake Ass Friends,” and “Below the Belt,” the latter of which saw the lead singer of Set It Off joining them on stage. Their fast-paced, high-energy set was both fun and refreshing, leaving the crowd buzzing with excitement. Ready for set it off. Set It Off Finally, the headline act, Set It Off, took the stage to thunderous applause. Having sold out their entire UK tour, the band has taken the country by storm. From the moment they kicked off with “Wolf in Sheep's Clothing [Re-Born Version],” they owned the stage, and the crowd was fully invested, screaming the lyrics back in unison. A truly magical moment came during "The Haunting" when the house lights dimmed, and hundreds of fans lit up the venue with their phone torches, creating a sea of lights that swayed in time with the music. The band’s perspective from the stage must be an unforgettable experience every night. In “Hypnotized,” Max and Cody swapped roles, with Max taking over the drums while Cody sang. Other highlights of the night included "Punching Bag," "N.M.E," and "Killer in the Mirror."
- Draconian Reign ft Veiled and Perpetual Paradox at Lending Room Leeds 22-2-2025
Tonight at The Lending Room In Leeds are Draconian Reign ft support from Veiled and Perpetual Paradox . Perpetual Paradox Starting this evening's show is Perpetual Paradox from London. The five-piece metal band kicks off the set. The dark and smoky atmosphere works quite well for the band, though the small stage can't contain them for very long, with lead singer Adrain jumping off the stage and running around the floor multiple times during their set. They sounded on-point and performed amazingly together! Veiled Leeds deathcore band Veiled take to the stage. Having seen Veiled 3 times before, they just keep getting better and better. You are truly taken on a journey each time you see them, and not one show is ever the same; you always spot something new within their set. They always sound so spot on and know how to lure the crowd in every time! Their set contained "Rituals", "Hellbound", "The Sentenced", and "Forgive Me". Their storytelling and spell-binding set always leaves you wanting more! As always, they sound heavy and spot on. I'm looking forward to watching them grow and seeing where they will go next! Draconian Reign We finish up the evening with our headline band, the dark symphonic deathcore band Draconian Reign. I can't avoid saying they didn't have a set without a lot of technical difficulties throughout their entire set, BUT they handled the set the best they could, given the circumstances. Although they had to cut a few songs from their set, they sounded amazing and made me want to come back to witness them in a full show again. They handled everything in their stride and showed true showmanship even when things went wrong. Hopefully, I will get to capture them again soon to witness them in their full power!
