American Rock band Beartooth takes over the O2 Victoria Wearhouse In Manchester for the first of two nights. Tour support comes from Australian Metalcore band Polaris and French Metalcore band Landmvrks on Beartooth's UK+EU Tour 2024 Landmvrks Kicking off the evening with their dark backlit stage is French MetalCore band Landmvrks. Florent comes out and takes control of the crowd while raping in the first verse of 'Creature' which brings the stage to life the brightly colored stage attracts you in while the audience opens ups the pits screaming back word for word. Crowd surfers come flying over the barrier Landmvrks have their fans up and moving during their opening set with 'Lost In A Wave' and 'Self-Made Black Hole' Landmvrks never fail to impress me capturing me earlier in the year their perfect sound and amazing stage presents will keep Having seen them as supports I can't wait till I see them on a headline tour! Having never heard of Polaris until now, I can see why everybody has fallen in love with its amazing stage presence and perfectly flawless sound makes you want to hear more of them. The audience is showered in black confetti from both sides of the stage. Caleb takes center stage for most of the evening, with the rest of the band hovering. The backlit LED screens give the stage a pinkish glow, matching their latest album, Surface. 'Dobut Me' kicks off with the anticipated fire, making the stage come to life. Fans scream back every word to Body Bag while the biggest circle pits open up. Caleb joins the crowd on the B stage to perform a cover of The Killers 'Mr. Brightside' and 'Look The Other Way' Before returning to the main stage you can see the craft to make this a one-in-a-lifetime experience. The stage shows Beartooth is created with lasers, pyro, videos, and the flame thrower (Massive thanks to Beartooth Pyro Guy for the amazing advice on this!) truly tied the show together. Italian Gothic Metal band Lacuna Coil takes over the Manchester Academy tonight for their In The Mean Time 2024 Tour. Support comes from Finnish Metal artist Blind Channel. Blind Channel Eurovision Finnish finalists Blind Channel took to the stage first, and were met with their exciting fan base in the crowd. Having just announced days prior that at the end of this touring cycle, they would be taking a hiatus from creating music this was the last chance for a lot of fans to see the Blind Channel live. Coming out to 'Deadzone' Blind Channel gets the crowd moving and bopping along. Throughout the set, we are treated to a range of high kicks full of fast vocals and amazing rhythm. Towards the back end of Blind Channel set, we are treated to their version of 'Everybody (Backstreet's Back)' which gets the crowd up and moving with everyone putting their middle fingers up for their Eurovision hit 'Dark Side'. Overall Blind Channel shows the charm within their set making it an incredible show! The rest of Lacuna Coil flooded the stage to kick this evening off in Manchester with 2016 'Blood, Tears, Dust' with beautiful harmonic heavy vocals from both Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro. The duo flows and shows the incredible talent they both have along with the rest of the band. Fans screamed back every lyric to the songs and the night proceeded. Newly released singles 'Oxygen', 'In The Meantime' and 'Hosting the Shadows' were performed to the enjoyment of fans moshing and singing along to the new songs. Fan Favorite of 'Heaven's A Lie XX' was performed having re-recorded some songs for the anniversary release of Comalies XX. These classics went down as a pure treat showing the incredible growth of the band and the changes they have made. The show was the Gothic dream of being a pure perfect show from the talent of stage presents, tiny details throughout the show, Vocals, and the intense love that the fans have for Lacuna Coil.
