The highly anticipated Amplified Festival 2025 is in full swing today. Hosting in The Corporate inSheffield with a stacked line up consisting of Confessions Of A Traitor, Red Method, Continents, Seething Akira, Cober Mouth, Swarm 6ix, Djinova, InRetrospect, Pulse, Waterlines, Asleep At The Helm, Within Reach and From Tyranny.
From Tyranny
Opening up on the Second stage today is Metalcore, Scottish From Tyranny. The heavy-hitting Scots pull the growing crowd in, getting the Scottish chants started, “here we here we here we fucking go”, bringing the energy and power to the second stage. Although they are today's openers, they make sure they are memorable and get the crowd interacting perfectly alongside them. Amplified chose very well!
Within Reach
Opening up the main stage is Within Reach, getting the audience off their feet and giving us some stage-hugging growls and fast-pasted guitar riffs right to the soul. They know how to capture the crowd with song, which falls into the soul, soulful and opens the sea, nodding heads from the audience. Their tight sound completes
Asleep at the Helm
The crowd slowed down a little for Asleep At The Helm, but that didn't stop them from bringing the high-energy stage presence with them. With growls that pierced the soul of Sheffield. Asleep At The Helm brought their loud and powerful set to Ampfield today, with the crowd becoming more awake, the headbanging started to bring in that power.
Waterlines
Yorkshire's very own Waterlines brings in our biggest movement of the day so far, the Nu-metal crew brings in the rave to the Benji Birthday party. With their set being one of the most anticipated of the day. They brought the energy and got everyone on their toes. With daisy chains bringing in the crowd participation, they know how to perform!
Pulse
Our first mini break of the day came during Pulse's set. Here are a few of our favourite pictures from their set!
InRetrospect
Our Leeds band of the afternoon bring in the blue and white lighting, their metal set has been capturing throughout the festival season and bringing heavy elements so smoothly, giving us a special treat if a brand new unperformed song “Toxic” goes down a treat. Although the crowd slightly thinned from before, they captured the fans.
Djinova
The three-piece brings in the head-banging portion of today; the growls just fill the room as the energy keeps us on a steady pace for today's show. Their sound creeps throughout the second stage. With lead vocalist also on the drums giving unique sound of the band and a little bit of something good and different for the day Djinova is one to watch!
Seething Akira
Sound check brings people running into the room with the amount of power they brought to a quick line check. Seething Akira fans are already for a party. Their heavy and powerful sound captures opening up the pits, getting middle fingers in the air. Seething Akira knows how to capture and get this crowd moving. Turning the room into the second dance party of the day.
Swarm 6ix & Continents
Swarm 6ix & Continent's we popped our heads in the Swarm 6ix set as hunger/break time was taking its toll halfway through tonight's sets. Here are some of our favourite images from their sets.
Cober Mouth
Shuffling down to one of our southern bands now, Cober Mouth, the three-piece hits the stage and creates a storm. One of the names most spoken about through today's festival showcases extreme talent and a perfect sound!
Red Method
We reach one of our first headline sets of the evening with Red Method closing out second stage tonight there high powerful set captures the room and showcases the tallest they do deserve a much bigger stage with the drummer being hidden at the back of the stage but with being a 6 piece high energy band it's to be expected throughout their fully red set they showcase every part of why they deserve to be a headliner!
Confessions of a traitor
Finishing off tonight is Confessions Of A Traitor. Though we didn't manage to get off the set due to the downfall of rain we were having. Confessions Of A Traitor showcased their raw talent with special guests Matt from Blank Blank, coming out as the fill-in headliner was an excellent choice for Ampfield to bring in.
Overview of Amplified
The team at Amplified needs to give itself a huge pat on the back. They have created something extremely special today at the Corporate in Sheffield. Bringing huge names in to help the smaller bands out. With many fans finding a new band. The atmosphere throughout the entire day was amazing (even if we did have an extremely wet day). It was perfectly timed, and splitting the festival into two stages made it run super smoothly! We look forward to seeing what Amplified keeps going on to achieve!
